- Lead the planning and design of water network infrastructure, including pumping stations, reservoirs, pipelines, and related facilities.
- Ensure that all water infrastructure meets project requirements and complies with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, and stakeholders to finalize designs for water network-related works.
- Oversee the construction and installation of water network components, including pumping stations, reservoirs, pipelines, and associated systems.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and equipment for water infrastructure.
- Ensure all water network facilities are built to the required specifications and meet safety and functionality needs.
- Manage site logistics, including the placement and transportation of materials and equipment for water infrastructure.
- Ensure that construction sites for water network facilities are properly prepared, including ground leveling, access routes, and necessary utilities (e.g., water, electricity).
- Supervise the movement and setup of construction equipment required for water infrastructure.
- Monitor construction practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and visitors on-site.
- Perform regular safety audits to ensure adherence to regulatory and company safety standards.
- Develop and manage budgets for the water network aspect of the project.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and ensure that resources are used efficiently.
- Provide regular updates on budget performance, identifying any potential cost overruns or savings.
- Ensure that water network facilities are constructed with high quality and are fully functional.
- Perform inspections during and after construction to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and client expectations.
- Resolve any issues related to the construction quality or safety of water network infrastructure.
- Lead a team of site managers, contractors, and construction workers focused on the construction of water network facilities.
- Conduct regular meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and align teams on project goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment with various stakeholders involved in water network construction.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance and functionality of water network facilities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate repairs and adjustments as needed, ensuring facilities remain in safe, operational condition.
- Provide regular updates on the status of water network infrastructure to senior management and project stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the timely completion of all water-related works.
- Address any concerns or feedback regarding water network infrastructure from project teams or workers.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, OSHA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction, with a focus on water network infrastructure, including pumping stations, reservoirs, and pipelines. Similar Knowledge in wastewater and irrigation utilities is an advantage.
- Proven experience managing construction projects, including large-scale water network-related works.
- Experience in site preparation, logistics, and managing construction teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations related to water infrastructure.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Builder trend) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve issues on-site.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Certifications such as PMP, OSHA, or other construction management-related qualifications.
- Experience with large-scale construction projects and the management of water network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety standards in the construction industry.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on cost optimization and resource management.
