Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Operator to join our quality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment including OES, XRF, ICP-OES, C-S Determinator, and O-N analyzer
Perform metallographic examinations including sample preparation and microscope analysis
Operate mechanical testing equipment such as UTM, CVN, and Hardness testers
Conduct material characterization and assist with defect/failure analysis
Follow laboratory procedures in accordance with ISO 17025 standards
Analyze microstructures of various materials including carbon steels, stainless steels, duplex stainless steels, and cast irons
Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related field
Experience operating analytical instruments (OES, XRF, ICP-OES)
Knowledge of metallographic techniques and mechanical testing procedures
Familiarity with laboratory quality management systems
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ISO 17025 laboratory standards
Knowledge of defect analysis or failure analysis techniques
Understanding of microstructural requirements for various steel types
