Site Location: Qiddiya, KSAJob Purpose
Lead the modelling, coordination, and delivery of civil & infrastructure mechanical systems within a Civil3D/Revit BIM environment, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and full integration with other disciplines throughout all project stages.Reporting Line
- Reports to: BIM Manager / Engineering Manager
- Functional liaison with Project & MEP Directors
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (mandatory)
- Certified BIM Professional (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, BRE BIM) – preferred
- 10+ years in mechanical engineering for civil/infrastructure projects, including 5 years hands‑on BIM authoring & coordination.
- Proven delivery of district cooling, water supply, sewer/storm networks, and mechanical plant rooms using Civil 3D, Revit & Navisworks.
- Deep knowledge of HVAC, chilled‑water distribution, pumping stations, pressurised pipe networks, and utility corridors.
- Expert user of Civil3D, Revit MEP, BIM 360 / ACC, Navisworks Manage (clash detection) and Dynamo/Excel for data workflows.
- Ability to integrate 4D/5D data within models, produce COBie datasets, and comply with ISO 19650 & QIC digital standards.
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and stakeholder coordination; fluent English (Arabic advantageous).
1. 1. Develop and federate civil mechanical BIM models (LOD 300‑500) ensuring clash‑free integration with other trades.
2. 2. Prepare BIM Execution Plans, Model Progress Reports, and manage scheduled data‑drops.
3. 3. Extract shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, quantity take‑offs, and 4D sequences from federated models.
4. 4. Lead COBie asset data population & validation for FM handover of mechanical assets.
5. 5. Mentor junior modellers and enforce project BIM QA/QC routines.
6. 6. Support site teams with model‑based construction sequencing and field BIM deployment.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Coordinated model issues delivered on schedule with ≤2 % unresolved clashes.
- 100 % compliance with ISO 19650 naming and metadata at each data‑drop.
- On‑time delivery of shop drawings & quantities derived from BIM.
- Zero major non‑conformities in digital delivery audits.
Site‑based role in a fast‑track environment; extended working hours may be required to meet critical milestones.
