- Lead the technical design process for residential projects, from initial concept through to final implementation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including architecture, engineering, and construction to deliver high-quality residential designs.
- Ensure that all technical designs are up-to-date with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Review and approve technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Manage relationships with external consultants and contractors, ensuring alignment with project goals and standards.
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure that technical designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Mentor and develop a team of technical designers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in residential design and engineering.
- Participate in budgeting and cost estimation activities related to technical design components of residential projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in technical design, specifically within residential development projects.
- Strong understanding of residential building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to manage complex design processes and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think creatively and provide innovative design solutions.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in design software, engineering tools, and project management applications.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a passion for developing and guiding design teams.
- Experience in project management, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
