We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, ensuring accuracy, and adherence to local tax laws and regulations. Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns in accordance with local laws (VAT, WHT and CIT returns)
Ensure compliance with VAT, income tax, and other relevant tax requirements.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in Saudi Arabian tax laws and regulations.
Conduct internal audits to identify and rectify potential compliance issues.

Tax audit:

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation to support tax filings.
Respond to inquiries and requests from tax authorities in collaboration with the tax advisors.
Challenge Tax advisors on SOW and potential reply to tax queries from the tax authorities

Financial Statements & Analysis:

Analyse financial data provide monthly financial statements: TBs, P&L and cash forecast.
Prepare the Financial statements on yearly basis and manage the relationship with the external auditors as needed.
Assist and manage the relationship with the external auditors on Transfer pricing returns (local file)
Preparation of the financial statement for the Local content.

Accounting support:

General support to accounting team -

enhancement of accounting booking, setup standardized operating processes. * Review and validate payroll related matters: EOSB, Payroll validation, payroll reconciliation.

Ensure all the payroll related entries are booked on monthly basis (accruals) and ensure the secondees are charged-back / accrued accordingly.
Fixed asset register: Register & amortization calculation to be reviewed and booked on monthly basis.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions.

Accounting supervision & team coordination:

Lead and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

Accounting enhancements: ensure improvement in the accounting system and ensure data accuracy.
Ensure appropriate accounting standards are followed.
Collaborate with central accounting team in implementation of accounting standards & best practice sharing.
Manage closing deadlines and closing checklist and report main impact for the period.

Banking support:

Manage banking relationship & establish the bridge between banks and Buro Happold requirements.
Manage all the Bonds request and put in place appropriate follow-up on bonds being released to clients.
