The Contracts Manager holds the responsibility for all related contractual issues, correspondences, evaluation, potential orders etc. and ongoing relationships with all Third-Party entities. The Contracts Manager is also responsible for financial budget supervision and ensuring the cost-effectiveness and value for money of contracts in conjunction with the Project Controls Manager.Key Responsibilities: * Support in the development and implementation of the contract management strategy.
- Responsible for developing and managing strategic contracts with different Third Parties in accordance with the PMO scope, policies, governance arrangements and values.
- Work closely with senior managers across the PMO.
- Formation and administration of (sub) contracts: pre-qualification, compilation of bid requests, receipt of bids, bid evaluation, award.
- Assure that project legal documents are completed and signed.
- Work with the PMO team to ensure fit for purpose contracts are handed over for management.
- Supervise all Third Parties' supply chain and performance strategy, activity and policy.
- Establishing and managing on-going relationships with all Third-Party entities.
- Thorough understanding of contracts that meet all legislative requirements through professional knowledge and, where required, liaison with professionally qualified legal advisors.
- Lead the review of variation orders, extension of time, claims etc.
- Lead resolution of claims and disputes.
15+ years of experience.
Public sector experience is a plus.
Knowledge and advanced understanding of FIDIC and all related requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of EPC contractual obligations and all related requirements.
Fluency in the English and Arabic language is mandatory.
