The position also supports TCC operator training and collaboration with field engineers, contributing to a smarter and safer transport future in Saudi Arabia.What You'll Do
- Design, program, and review traffic signal systems to enhance flow and safety across complex intersections
- Integrate traffic signals with ITS systems, ensuring seamless real-time communication and system-wide responsiveness
- Troubleshoot technical faults and ensure maximum system uptime and reliability
- Conduct ongoing analysis of traffic data to adjust signal timing, improve efficiency, and reduce congestion
- Develop technical documents including controller configurations, signal timing plans, and integration diagrams
- Monitor and guide traffic signal operations from the Traffic Control Center (TCC), ensuring swift response to incidents and disruptions
- Train TCC operators on Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and data interpretation tools
- Review and validate consultant-prepared signal timing plans and adaptive system proposals
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, municipal officials, and client teams to maintain compliance and drive innovation
- Refine operational SOPs and training documentation for use across traffic signal teams
- Ensure quality assurance, compliance, and strategic alignment with Parsons' traffic safety initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 15 years of specialized experience with traffic signal systems design, programming, and troubleshooting
- Expertise in adaptive signal systems and real-time traffic control strategies
- Proficiency in signal control software such as SYNCHRO, SIDRA, Trafficware, and other ATMS tools
- Experience working with various signal controller platforms and traffic hardware
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills preferred
- Strong documentation, communication, and mentoring skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary engineering environment
