We’ve got what you’re looking for.Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Decarbonization & Sustainability Specialist to lead the development and implementation of decarbonization strategies, ESG reporting, and sustainability initiatives across infrastructure and construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning the organization with national and international sustainability targets, such as the Saudi Green Initiative and Net Zero 2050, while ensuring compliance with global frameworks and certifications. This role requires expertise in carbon management, ESG performance, and sustainability certifications, as well as the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.What You’ll Be Doing:Decarbonization Strategy & ImplementationPlan and execute decarbonization strategies and ESG reporting across company operations and projects.Automate and enforce carbon practice pathways and ESG frameworks to ensure compliance and enable sustainable transformation of the business.Create and implement decarbonization roadmaps to achieve carbon reduction at the company level and at facilities, aligned with national and international targets (e.g., Saudi Green Initiative, Net Zero 2050).Conduct Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions inventories in accordance with the GHG Protocol.Identify, evaluate, and implement emission reduction initiatives, renewable energy projects, sustainable procurement practices, and energy efficiency measures.Integrate carbon-friendly design and construction practices into operations across all project life cycles.Monitor, track, and disclose sustainability performance and carbon reduction targets in sustainability reports.ESG Performance & ComplianceAssist in the development of ESG strategies aligned with industry leaders and primary frameworks (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD, ISSB, UN SDGs).Lead data collection, performance analysis, and preparation of annual ESG disclosures and sustainability reports.Coordinate internal ESG governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and due diligence processes.Conduct ESG and decarbonization awareness sessions and workshops for internal teams and supply chain partners.Lead carbon-related meetings with designers and contractors to ensure alignment with sustainability goals.Sustainability CertificationLead the coordination and implementation of Envision, Mostadam, and WELL certification processes, including documentation, tracking, and compliance.Evaluate and integrate sustainable design solutions across all airport systems, including buildings, utilities, airside, and landside facilities.Support the development and execution of the project's Sustainability Management Plan (SMP).Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to incorporate energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and material sustainability strategies.Review sustainability-related design submittals, material data, and construction methods for compliance with project and certification requirements.Provide technical support for environmental product declarations (EPDs), life cycle assessments (LCAs), and embodied carbon analysis.Engage with project stakeholders, including contractors and consultants, to ensure alignment with sustainability objectives.Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate progress toward sustainability targets.Facilitate sustainability training sessions and workshops as needed.Ensure alignment with local environmental regulations, international best practices (e.g., LEED, WELL, Envision), and airport authority sustainability policies.Identify opportunities for innovation in sustainable technologies and strategies throughout the design and construction phases.Support environmental and sustainability audits, as well as third-party certification site reviews.What Required Skills You’ll Bring:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Architecture, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in sustainability, green building consultancy, ESG, or carbon management, ideally in infrastructure, construction, or real estate sectors.Proven track record in managing or supporting Envision, Mostadam, and WELL projects through certification.Certifications such as GHG Inventory (e.g., ISO 14064), LEED AP, Envision, ESG Reporting (GRI/SASB/TCFD), or climate risk analysis are preferred.Strong understanding of ESG regulations, decarbonization tools, and international climate frameworks.Experience with carbon accounting tools (e.g., One Click LCA, SimaPro, OpenLCA, or bespoke calculators).Familiarity with ESG rating agencies and reporting platforms.Strong understanding of sustainability performance metrics (energy, water, waste, indoor air quality).Proficient in Envision & WELL Online Portals, MS Office, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau preferred).Excellent communication and coordination skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary environments.ENV SP, Mostadam AP, WELL AP, or equivalent credential is highly preferred.Experience on airport or transportation infrastructure projects.Familiarity with BIM, AutoCAD, or environmental modeling software (e.g., IES-VE,
