We’ve got what you’re looking for.Job Description:This position is for a Senior Planning Manager to lead and manage the Planning functions in the PMO organization on a multiple PMC Delivery team Programme. Reports directly to the PMO Projects Control Manager.What You'll Be Doing:Leads the development and management of the program integrated master schedule.Establishes robust schedule management plans and procedures for maintaining the Program integrated master schedule.Takes the lead in preparing schedule data for tender strategies, proposals or contract negotiations.Routinely audits the PMC schedule for compliance with the schedule management plan and schedule industry standards.Analyze the progress and confirm the accuracy of the progress being reported.Integrates inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.Reviews and assesses the work sequences with the total project plan.Establishes and implements methods for determining activity durations within assigned disciplines or specialties.Develops quantity release and/or installation curves for assigned disciplines/areas or specialties.Reviews and approves invoice verification for payment based on cost-loaded schedules, as required.Reviews schedule data, identifies and acquires information needed to complete work logics to interface between assigned disciplines, specialties and/or projects.Maintains specific project codes of accounts and work breakdown structures and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions for new work items as assigned.Determines critical path and near critical path activities within the Program integrated master schedule and continually monitors providing recommendations to shorten where possible. If required, provide a Critical Items Action Report.Identifies, analyzes, and monitors schedule deviations from the PMC submittals and recommends corrective action/work-around solutions for program considerations.Develop and write the schedule narrative that appears in the Executive Progress Reports; monthly and weekly, or as needed.Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or other related discipline with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in planning role, with management role as a pre-requisite.Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken. Written and verbal communication in Arabic a plus.What Desired Skills You'll Bring:Demonstrated teamwork and management skills.Proven experience of working within a complex construction environment.Ability to follow through & clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting).
