The Plant Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes within the manufacturing plant meet internal, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role involves process development, data analysis, audits, and continuous improvement to support operational excellence and compliance in a Saudi industrial environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes, procedures, and documentation for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Conduct inspections and tests according to Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure all quality documentation is up to date and compliant with project and regulatory requirements
- Collect, analyze, and summarize process and product data; prepare and submit regular quality reports to senior management
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action teams to resolve quality issues related to customer complaints, supplier non-conformance, and internal production problems
- Participate in internal and external audits, and follow up on non-conformity reports to ensure timely closure and continuous improvement
- Review and update quality assurance procedures, work instructions, and operational policies to align with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards
- Train plant staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices to promote a culture of quality and safety
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, production, and logistics teams to address quality issues and ensure seamless operations
- Ensure compliance with Saudi health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry-specific standards
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field)
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment in Saudi Arabia
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), statistical process control, and root cause analysis
- Experience with quality tools such as PPAP, APQP, MSA, and SPC is highly desirable
- Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and use of Microsoft Office and quality management software
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills; fluency in English required, Arabic is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of Saudi regulatory compliance and industry-specific standards is a plus
