IT Administrator

• Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
• Take responsibility for projects and solutions within larger business initiatives.
• Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems to provide a commercial advantage in the global marketplace.
• Enable faster and smarter business processes and develop analytics for meaningful insights.
• Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
• Act as the primary point of contact with procurement for all IT-related requirements, and procure IT assets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and IT services based on organizational needs.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers to stay informed about new technologies and products.
• Develop and implement IT asset management and system policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and subscriptions.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management policies.

• Ensure the efficient use of IT resources and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Perform server administration tasks, including user/group management, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event-log warnings and errors, and monitor resources to ensure seamless systems architecture.
• Monitor data-center health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues, assist in building, testing, and maintaining new servers when needed.
• Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptops, desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, and security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
• Manage and execute system integration tasks, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability across IT infrastructure components, while troubleshooting and resolving integration-related issues for optimal system performance.
• Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting, identify root causes, and provide technical support when needed.
• Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups, develop, and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure the organization's data is protected from loss or damage.
• Conduct regular tests to ensure the effectiveness of backup and recovery processes.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Ensure systems comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Optimize system configurations to achieve optimal performance.
• Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members to offer training and guidance on IT-related topics.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• hands-on experience similar to server delivery environments for a minimum 3 years.
• Knowledge of Microsoft and Unix systems administration.
• Professional certification MS 102 (365 Administration), MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCSA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), ITIL Foundation considered as an added qualification.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

• Proven success in an IT role.
• Expertise in analyzing and repairing large-scale distributed systems, creating volumes, assigning them to servers, and remote replication.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation of routine tasks and system management.
• Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures to protect systems and data. Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.
• Experience in managing storage systems, including RAID configurations, SAN/NAS technologies, and data backup solutions.
• Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services. Ability to configure and troubleshoot network devices, routers, and switches.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
