- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework and process for infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, tunnels, and bridges, in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
- Identify and assess project risks and opportunities, considering both internal and external factors, such as technical, environmental, regulatory, financial, and geopolitical risks.
- Conduct risk analysis and modeling to quantify and prioritize risks based on their potential impact and likelihood of occurrence, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks and capitalize on opportunities, working closely with project teams to implement and monitor risk mitigation measures.
- Provide risk management guidance and support to project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, including training, coaching, and facilitation of risk workshops and reviews.
- Monitor and review project risks regularly, updating risk registers, tracking risk treatment actions, and communicating risk status and trends to senior management and stakeholders.
- Facilitate risk assessments and workshops with project teams and stakeholders to identify emerging risks, evaluate risk controls, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and third-party stakeholders to ensure alignment of risk management practices and requirements with project objectives and contractual obligations.
- Stay current with industry best practices, standards, and trends in risk management, incorporating new methodologies and tools into project delivery processes as appropriate.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools, and systems, collaborating with internal teams to enhance risk awareness and effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in risk management within the construction industry, with a focus on infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, tunnels, and bridges.
- Strong knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as risk assessment matrices, Monte Carlo simulation, and decision trees.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools, such as risk register software, quantitative risk analysis software, and project management software.
- Commitment to excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement in risk management practices.
