Job Type: Full TimePosition OverviewAs a Transportation Safety Specialist with Parsons in Riyadh, you will be responsible for conducting detailed safety evaluations across road networks and multimodal transport systems. Your role will include crash analysis, safety auditing, and the integration of safety improvements in collaboration with engineering and planning teams. This is a mission-critical position focused on regulatory compliance, performance tracking, and the implementation of international best practices such as AASHTO and FHWA standards.What You'll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of roadways and transport infrastructure to assess risk and compliance
  • Analyze crash data, identify root causes, and develop strategies for reducing incident frequency and severity
  • Evaluate transportation system safety using tools such as GIS, crash mapping software, and modeling techniques
  • Lead road safety audits and inspections in line with international guidelines and local regulations
  • Collaborate with project designers, engineers, and stakeholders to embed safety into project lifecycle planning
  • Draft and deliver safety reports with actionable recommendations to clients and regulatory agencies
  • Implement and update safety procedures, risk mitigation plans, and field training protocols
  • Track key safety performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with project goals
  • Support investigations and contribute to root cause analyses for transportation-related incidents
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Safety Engineering; Master's degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in transportation safety, crash investigation, and compliance audits
  • Strong command of global road safety standards (IRF, AASHTO, FHWA, local regulations)
  • Proficient in crash analysis software and safety modeling tools (e.g., GIS, Safety Analyst)
  • Certification as a Road Safety Auditor or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into real-world solutions
