evaluation.The position interfaces with the Client, Project Director, Contracts Managers, Design and Engineering team, Construction Directors, PMCM Consultants, and has oversight of all construction scheduling activities. Reports to the Senior Planning Manager.What You'll Be Doing:
- Provides guidance and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex planning problems
- Interfaces with clients and PMCM consultants and attends regular meetings and provides statistical reports
- Manages a team of Planning Engineers/Specialists who are qualified to analyze and evaluate project progress performance against an established schedule with critical milestones
- Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages
- Supports/performs integration of scope, cost and schedule within the WBS and ensure mapping is accurate on an ongoing basis
- Leads the preparation and establishment of effective schedule management plans and procedures and monitors, refines, and improves the reporting and controls tools as required
- Works with the Senior Planning Manager and the Project Controls Director on the development and maintenance of the program wide work breakdown structure (WBS)
- Leads the development and maintenance of the program wide integrated schedule
- Provides necessary assistance to the project and client teams in planning, scheduling, and reporting on issues/progress of the works
- Assists in developing the program’s procurement strategy and its associated phasing timelines and update it regularly
- Participates in the development of key milestones dates and schedule requirements in the RFPs for the design consultant and construction contractors
- Participates in the review and response to bidders’ queries during tender periods
- Participates in the weekly and monthly progress meetings with the contractors, supervision consultants and the client
- Creates statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basis
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university
- 15+ years of work experience in project control and scheduling of engineering and construction activities including supervisory/managerial experience
- Extensive experience with projects at design stage
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Knowledgeable of current Primavera Enterprise Systems scheduling technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project
