- Assign daily work and responsibilities to operators based on production requirements, line priorities, and available resources.
- Supervise and support hourly employees to ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Lead daily team huddles to review performance, production priorities, key issues, and action plans.
- Verify readiness for production at the start of each shift, including staffing, materials, equipment, and process readiness.
- Support the use of production systems and tools needed for daily execution and reporting.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate issues related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost as needed.
- Reinforce compliance with all safety requirements, safe work practices, and company policies.
- Participate in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities to address production, quality, safety, and operational issues.
- Ensure materials and consumables are available at workstations to support uninterrupted production.
- Prepare and distribute required production documents and operational instructions.
- Monitor line activity to ensure adherence to standard work, process discipline, and production expectations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in alignment with workplace organization standards.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles to daily supervision and line management activities.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Support improvements in standard work, visual management, line organization, and process consistency.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering, to resolve issues and meet production goals.
- Use shop floor systems, production tracking tools, and escalation processes as required.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety policies, procedures, and operating requirements.
- Diploma, technical college degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Min 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Min 2 years’ experience leading teams, coordinating shop floor activities, or supervising operators.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing, DMS, SQDC, 5S, and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience conducting daily management meetings and supporting visual management systems.
- Familiarity with production systems such as ELM, SmartShop, and MyAndon.
- Min 2 years’ experience working with gas turbine components or other precision aerospace/industrial parts.
