- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of instrumentation equipment.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform unscheduled repairs to ensure continuous operation of production facilities.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment to detect and prevent potential failures.
- Maintain and repair control systems, including PLCs and DCS.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Test accuracy of instrument calibration using test equipment such as pressure gauges, temperature indicators, and flow meters.
- Collaborate with other personnel, including engineers, electricians, and mechanics, to solve problems and ensure systems are functioning properly.
- Associate's degree in Instrumentation or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician in the Oil & Energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
- Good knowledge of process instrumentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Understanding of PLC and DCS control systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
