Learn more about our in our .Project Overview:Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.Job Summary:Reporting to the Project Manager (PM), the role acts as the central point of contact and support for all site IS&T-related aspects of the project, including IT infrastructure, network connectivity and distribution, two-way communications, site access and reporting and jobsite applications. The IS&T Lead works with the Project Data Coordinator to ensure a robust project automation plan is developed and implements the jobsite IT infrastructure and systems in line with the plan, Bechtel standards and security requirements.Major Responsibilities:

Jointly develops the project automation plan and implements the plan at the jobsite. Communicates implementation progress status with the project and site management team and updates the plan as required
Actively engages with project stakeholders to develop partnerships and a deep understanding of deliverables and expectations
Provides day-to-day IS&T support for jobsite personnel and develops a site support team to meet execution expectations
Works with on- and off-project personnel to analyse and resolve IS&T issues (network, hardware, software, etc.) as they arise on the jobsite
Ensures Bechtel IS&T infrastructure and applications are implemented according to Bechtel Standards to support the associated work processes
Tracks all project assets and maintains an accurate inventory in the Bechtel standard asset management tool
Attends regular site meetings and maintains open communication channels to engage with the broader site teams and works as an integrated project team member to provide a customer-focused service
Works closely with the Project Data Coordinator to review and report IS&T status to the PM and site manager, providing input into weekly and monthly reports as required
Responds to customers' needs, questions and concerns and expedites actions in an accurate, effective and timely manner
Meets regularly with site Project Data Coordinator and IS&T teams to provide timely feedback on current workload, issues and resolutions, while regularly capturing and recording best practices and lessons learned
Monitors IS&T metrics and takes action to address governance compliance
Manages jobsite IS&T costs, develops plans and estimates for site IS&T requirements and reviews with project management, functions and project stakeholders.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Preferably 10-15 years' experience, across multiple roles on projects and jobsites (Bechtel experience preferred)
The above may be acquired through:
A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, business management or related field from an accredited college or university
Broad experience in multiple roles in home offices, projects and jobsites
Additional educational training or specialised courses in information technology, information systems and project management.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Able to communicate clearly in technical terms with project and global IS&T peers
Able to translate technical communications into practical terms for discussion with management and jobsite teams
Broad knowledge of hardware and operating systems including network architecture and communications infrastructure
Broad knowledge of EPC functional work processes, applications and data integration methodologies and IS&T support methodologies for project execution
Ability to articulate ideas and to write clear and concise reports
Ability to identify, track, escalate and resolve problems using comprehensive techniques and methods of troubleshooting end-user problems.
