- Manage and improve reliability for the installed base in customer site, related to Mechanical Seals.
- Fully focus on customer pain points related to reliability and liaison between customers and the EB office for eliminating the bad actors, claim management and thus bring higher reliability.
- Perform Mechanical Seal troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) independently based on the inputs collected from customer site and take application engineering support.
- Support the IP & AM Sales team in troubleshooting, RCA and claim management during the project stage. This will involve high amount of co-ordination directly with customers.
- Prepare and submit regular reliability reports to all stakeholders (weekly/monthly).
- Engage with various customer departments and participate in technical meetings to resolve the mechanical seal failures issues and create reports adhering to contractual KPI’s, as needed.
- Support in improving reliability of Fixed Fee programs through co-ordination with the sales, service and engineering team.
- Directly involve the superior (Service Director) wherever needed for all customer meetings.
- Ensure efficient working with the EB sales, service and engineering team members.
- Ensure consistent on-site support to customers with travel of at least 3 days a week.
- Utilize EB ERP systems such as C4C, SealCarePro and SAP ByD effectively.
- Prepare service reports, RCA, troubleshooting reports, MTBF analysis, bad actor analysis, and engineering reports for submission to customer and internal members,
- Co-ordinate effectively for all cases with EB-Germany directly.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Minimum 5-10 years technical experience working in the Mechanical Seal Industry with experience in service and on-site activities.
- Have a good knowledge of Centrifugal Pumps, Agitators, Mixers, Blowers.
- A fair awareness of Centrifugal Compressors will be an added benefit.
- Have a good knowledge of Wet Mechanical Seals, Supply Systems and API 682 Standards.
- A fair knowledge of ANSI, Engineering Drawings, Limits & Fits Tolerances, etc.
- Ability to independently install mechanical seals.
- Ability to carry out mid-level trouble shooting at site.
- Good command over spoken and written English. A knowledge of spoken Arabic will be an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Appropriate computer and IT systems skills/knowledge (MS Office, Document Management, etc.)
