JOB DUTIES STATEMENTS:Duties and Responsibilities:1. Assures the working conditions of the entire biomedical equipment in DSFH and reports to the Biomedical Engineer orBiomedical Engineering Unit Manager in case of any emergency issues2. Demonstrates the medical equipment to any specialized staff in DSFH for its operation and proper usage in order to minimize the risks towards patients and users.3. Repairs, installs, calibrate and inspect medical equipment and instrumentation including life support equipment, and confirm completion by signed report.4. Receives all Biomedical Engineering Unit telephone calls and correspondences including medical equipment service requests and reacts accordingly especially in case of any emergencies and disturbances.5. Works independently according to his professional experience and/or collaboratively with Biomedical Engineer to minimize the down time of medical equipment and immediately reports received service requests to the Biomedical Engineer on-duty and coordinates in allocating and distributing the manpower necessary for rapid response. This may include (not limited to) the following activities- Execute the necessary permanent or temporary remedies to medical equipment.- Fill the “Action Taken” field in the Medical Equipment Service Call Program.- Reports to the Biomedical Engineer or Biomedical Engineering Unit Manager for even accurate response and information needed.- Suggests or recommends necessary spare parts replacement, further equipment investigation, calibration, lubrication, troubleshooting, etc.- Inform the Biomedical Coordinator to speed up the progress of all ordered materials, equipment, spare parts and other required items.6. Attends in meeting in coordination with Biomedical Engineer which regards service and maintenance visits performed byMedical Equipment Contractors (Outside Company Provider) during their inspection as required.7. Assists the Supply Chain Department in identifying and analyzing technical specifications of biomedical spare parts and medical equipment as well as canvassing materials from the local market.8. Organizes and updates all files, equipment, product catalogues and all documentation needed in BiomedicalDepartment/workshop or in Medical Equipment Utility Rooms.9. Fulfill and follows the DSFH mission, vision and general values especially duties and responsibilities of BiomedicalEngineering Unit.10. Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as “the patient is the center of our care”.Other Job Functions:1. Perform all duties and tasks in line with the Person Centered Care values.2. Adherence to all policies, plans and programs within the Fakeeh Care.3. Perform duties as per the code of conduct requirement and ethical standards as outlined in the HCM policies and guidelines.4. Complete mandatory education as per the requirement at least one month prior to expiration.5.
