Foreground is partnering with a market-leading Saudi consumer goods manufacturer to appoint a commercially driven and transformation-focused Vice President of Commercial Excellence, based in Jeddah. This newly created role follows an extensive organizational review and is central to aligning the groups sales, marketing, pricing, and trade execution efforts under one high-performance model.Role PurposeTo lead the design and rollout of a unified commercial excellence framework that enhances pricing governance, improves trade return on investment, sharpens route-to-market models, and unlocks data-driven growth across multiple categories and channels.Key Responsibilities
  • Design and lead the implementation of the commercial excellence roadmap across sales, marketing, and revenue management functions.
  • Build robust pricing frameworks and trade term structures to ensure consistency, profitability, and channel alignment.
  • Drive salesforce performance management including segmentation, incentive model redesign, target setting, and coaching systems.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of a trade spend effectiveness program, ensuring clear ROI tracking and promotional efficiency.
  • Introduce customer segmentation tools, value propositions, and channel strategies in close coordination with category teams.
  • Embed data analytics and reporting tools that enable fact-based commercial decisions across regions and business units.
  • Lead cross-functional task forces on route-to-market optimization, distributor capability building, and customer profitability analysis.
  • Establish a commercial academy and development journey for frontline teams and key account managers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 15+ years of experience in sales, commercial strategy, or revenue management within FMCG, consumer goods, or retail distribution sectors.
  • Proven success in implementing commercial excellence programs across salesforce effectiveness, pricing, or trade optimization.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, or Marketing; MBA preferred.
  • Strong experience in the Saudi or GCC market with deep understanding of modern trade, traditional trade, and wholesale dynamics.
  • Exposure to digital transformation tools (CRM, BI dashboards, pricing software) is a strong advantage.
Preferred Skills & Traits
  • Strong leadership presence with a hands-on execution style; able to inspire change across legacy teams.
  • Commercially fluent and analytically precise; comfortable working with executive dashboards and board reporting.
  • Arabic proficiency highly preferred; English fluency required.
  • Highly structured thinker with the ability to align teams around KPIs, process improvement, and performance culture.
