Job Title: Senior Electrical EngineerLocation: Jubail, Saudi ArabiaIndustry: Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery (EPC Environment)Experience Required: 13+ yearsJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Jubail. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in EPC projects within the oil, gas, petrochemical, and hydrocarbon sectors. You will play a critical role in the design, development, and execution of large to mega-scale projects and running plants, particularly focusing on high-voltage to low-voltage electrical distribution systems, relay protection settings, and power system studies.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee electrical engineering design for various voltage levels: 230KV, 34.5KV, 13.8KV, 4.16KV, 480V to 400V.
Conduct and validate relay protection coordination and power system studies using ETAP software.
Prepare and review FEED and detailed engineering designs, including layouts, section details, interconnections, and schematics.
Analyze and evaluate engineering proposals, technical designs, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry codes (NFPA 70, IEC, IEEE) and Sadara standards.
Generate material requisitions (MRs), prepare equipment specifications, and conduct technical bid evaluations.
Review and approve vendor documents, support procurement and coordinate with suppliers for equipment and material compliance.
Create material take-off lists (MTOs), perform equipment sizing calculations, illumination studies, and cable raceway designs.
Approve heat tracing designs and ensure effective implementation.
Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
Translate P&IDs into effective and accurate electrical design documents.
Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Ensure as-built documentation and updates to existing engineering drawings are accurate and complete.
Interface seamlessly with cross-discipline teams, contractors, field electricians, and key stakeholders to resolve engineering and construction issues.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
13+ years of relevant experience in EPC projects within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
Expert-level knowledge in electrical distribution systems, protection systems, and power studies.
Hands-on experience with ETAP modeling and analysis.
Strong familiarity with international codes and standards (NFPA, IEC, IEEE, etc.).
Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage workloads effectively and adapt in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working on Sadara or similar mega projects.
Exposure to Saudi Aramco engineering standards and processes is a plus.
Professional Engineering License or Certification (e.g., PE, PMP, or equivalent) is advantageous.
