Electrical Procurement Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the procurement process for electrical materials, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best pricing and quality.
Review and approve purchase orders, contracts, and material submittals in coordination with project teams.
Ensure all electrical equipment and materials comply with international standards and local regulations.
Work closely with engineering, construction, and finance teams to manage procurement schedules and cost control.
Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and logistics to prevent project delays.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and alternative materials to optimize procurement strategies.
Handle claims, disputes, and contract amendments with vendors as needed.
Prepare and submit procurement reports and cost analyses to management.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in electrical procurement, preferably in large-scale construction or MEP projects.
Certifications: Procurement or supply chain management certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and international procurement standards.
Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to strategically negotiate contracts and manage supplier relations.
Analytical Thinking: Strong capability in cost analysis, budget control, and risk assessment.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in Arabic and English (Preferred).
