Overview: Seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and manage complex MEP projects, with a strong focus on critical power generation systems, within Data Center, Telecommunication, and High-Rise Building sectors. This role requires proven expertise in design, installation, commissioning, optimization, and comprehensive maintenance of sophisticated mechanical systems, including standby/prime power generators, ensuring peak performance and regulatory compliance.Education and Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or B-Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7-8 years of progressive, hands-on experience in MEP roles within high-rise buildings, data centers, and/or telecommunication infrastructure, with significant exposure to power generation systems.
Job Description: Responsible for comprehensive lifecycle management of mechanical systems and critical power infrastructure, including:
  • Project Management: Developing project plans, allocating resources, assigning tasks, supervising site mechanical works, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • HVAC & Critical Cooling: Supervising installation, testing, and commissioning of large-scale HVAC systems, central chillers, CRAC/CRAU units, and specialized data center cooling solutions; performing thermal load calculations.
  • Plumbing & Fire Life Safety: Managing installation, testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems and advanced fire suppression/fighting systems (including gaseous suppression) for critical facilities.
  • Power Generation (Mechanical): Overseeing installation, mechanical commissioning, and maintenance (PM/CM) of diesel/gas power generators, including engines, cooling, fuel, and exhaust systems; managing fuel storage/transfer; coordinating mechanical aspects of generator testing.
  • Maintenance & Optimization: Developing and implementing PM schedules, performing diagnostics, executing CM, and optimizing system performance for energy efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate work records, preparing BOQs for mechanical materials, compiling tool lists, and generating technical reports.
Experience Required: Candidates must demonstrate extensive practical experience in:
  • HVAC & Critical Cooling: Installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of large-scale HVAC systems, chiller plants, and specialized cooling solutions for high-density IT environments.
  • Plumbing & Fire Life Safety: Full lifecycle experience with domestic/commercial plumbing and various fire suppression/fighting systems, notably gaseous suppression.
  • Power Generation (Mechanical): Direct experience with mechanical aspects of diesel/gas power generator installation, commissioning, PM (e.g., engine, fuel, cooling systems), and CM/troubleshooting.
  • Industry Focus: Verifiable experience in MEP projects across High-Rise Commercial/Residential Buildings, Data Centers (Tier III/IV), and Telecommunication infrastructure.
Priorities (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Working experience on significant projects within KSA.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., LEED AP, ASHRAE, EGSA, Saudi Council of Engineers).
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D engineering design tools (AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) for mechanical/generator control.
  • Strong knowledge of international and local codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, SASO).
Other Skills:
  • Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written English/Arabic communication for reports and stakeholder engagement.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving skills for complex mechanical/power generation issues.
