Job SummaryThe Manager – Transport Operations, City Interface is responsible for coordinating and optimizing day-to-day metro and bus operations in alignment with city traffic authorities and urban transport systems. This role ensures smooth integration of services, minimizes disruptions, enhances passenger experience, and strengthens operational collaboration between the transit agency and city stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Planning & Coordination:
  • Lead daily and weekly transport operations planning in collaboration with city traffic control, municipal transport departments, and other mobility service providers.
  • Monitor and adjust timetables, service frequencies, and route management to maintain efficiency and reliability.
  • City Interface Management:
  • Act as primary liaison between the metro authority and city agencies for operational decision-making and incident management.
  • Facilitate joint planning sessions to manage city events, road closures, and emergency response coordination.
  • Performance & Service Delivery:
  • Track and report KPIs related to on-time performance, passenger flow, and network availability.
  • Implement strategies to reduce congestion, improve intermodal transfers, and enhance overall service resilience.
  • Incident & Emergency Response:
  • Coordinate with city authorities during disruptions, special events, or emergencies to ensure safety and minimize impact on public transport.
  • Support crisis communication and continuity of operations planning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal departments, transport operators, and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the organization in city transport forums and policy discussions.
RequirementsQualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in public transport operations, preferably within metro or large-scale urban mobility systems.
  • Proven experience working with city agencies and managing multi-stakeholder transport projects.
  • Strong knowledge of urban traffic management, scheduling, and operational planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
