Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test cabling and components for various ELV systems, including:
o CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) systems
o Access control systems
o Public address (PA) systems
o Audio-visual (AV) systems
o Gate barriers and automatic door systems
o Other related ELV systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Configure and program ELV system components and integrate them with other building systems.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot system malfunctions to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults in ELV systems and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of installed ELV systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately, including wiring diagrams, test results, and service reports.
- Collaborate effectively with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of ELV systems.
- Adhere to all relevant safety codes, standards, and regulations during installation, maintenance, and repair work.
- Maintain tools and test equipment in good working order.
- Stay updated with the latest industry advancements and technologies in ELV systems.
- Respond to service calls and provide on-site support as required.
- Diploma or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ELV systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with a variety of ELV systems (as listed in the responsibilities).
- Strong knowledge of wiring standards, termination techniques, and cable management best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using various testing equipment and tools relevant to ELV systems.
- Good understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Candidate with valid driving license preferred
