- Review contract / tender documents, generate queries to clients for any discrepancies or missing information from contract documents.
- Review tender documentation and identify the key elements of proposal in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, technical drawings, project specifications, and related documents.
- Visiting to construction sites, warehouses, and other such venues to gather comprehensive insights to proper estimate the project
- Evaluating documentation, communicating with clients, and analyzing construction sites to evaluate an understanding of project requirements
- Coordinating with the quantity surveyors for the proper quantity take off & summarizing the quantities.
- Preparing clarifications and coordinate with client for obtaining the responses
- Collect different quotes from suppliers, vendors and contractors through supply chain within a specified time frame
- Determining the most suitable suppliers, contractors, vendors, and materials for every project based on the previous experience and provided quotation price
- Review and assess cost estimates.
- Identify and calculate labor, material, tools, consumables, equipment, time, TSF arrangements and site facilities requirements
- Use Cost Sheet for data analysis and summarizing all the costs
- Preparing and submitting quotations / bids and details of costs for work to be done
- Analyzing the Bar Chart Schedules prepared by Planning Deptt. at bidding stage to determine the total duration expected for project completion
- Present cost estimates to the higher management for approval
- Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data.
- Staying updated with safety codes and industry trends in development
