- Lead the development and implementation of sales strategy for the Company’s key markets, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy.
- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive business plan aligned with the company’s 5-year Medium Term Plan (MTP)
- Meets medium-term business needs.
- Leads major strategic bids with key accounts.
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies, legal requirements, regulations, contractual obligations, and ethical standards within the sales team and department.
- Drive initiatives to maximize local content integration within sales strategies and offerings, contributing to the company's commitment to increase company local content.
- Develop and implement an account management plan for strategic, complex, global existing accounts to build key relationships at local, national, and corporate levels.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Coordinate the engagement and alignment of the sales organization with customers to ensure effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues.
- Manage strategic client and customer relationships to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and drive the Net Promoter Score to contribute to repeat business.
- Support the sales team in opening new business opportunities in key (and new) markets and segments e.g. military, EV.
- Foster strong customer relationships within the team and deliver customer-centric solutions aligned with input and support from other functions in LSA.
- Contribute to pricing strategies and participate in key contract negotiations
- Formally assess customer feedback and performance with data to convey an objective review of the level of service the team is providing; initiate continuous improvement ations when standards are not; align business process with customer needs, including relationship building and market entry planning
- Embed the sales function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values within the team and drive the required implementation actions needed
- Motivate people to commit to the mission, vision, and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
- Identify the organisation’s sales capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of the company and develop corrective workforce approaches where required
- Manage and report on the performance of the function/business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
- Develop and mentor sales team members to enhance their skills and prepare them for future roles, with a focus on identifying internal talent and preparing future sales leaders.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the department
- Collaborate cross functionally with marketing, engineering and productions teams to support company’s target
- Set a standard for professionalism through exemplary conduct and teamwork at all times to develop the same in others.
