Job Description:The Commis II is responsible for preparing basic food items and assisting in the kitchen's daily operations under the guidance of senior chefs. The role requires a good understanding of hygiene, kitchen safety, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced culinary environment.Prepare and cook food items according to standard recipes and instructions from senior chefs.Assist with mise en place (food preparation) for designated kitchen sections.Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.Follow food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with HACCP or hotel guidelines.Assist in receiving and checking deliveries for quality and quantity.Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.Communicate any equipment malfunctions or food quality concerns to supervisors.Adhere to grooming, uniform, and personal hygiene standards.Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. Desired Skill & Expertise:
  • 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and culinary techniques.
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work in a team and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
