- Lead the development and implementation of functional and business area strategies, anticipating megatrends, complex challenges, and opportunities while ensuring integration with the wider corporate strategy.
- Ensure strategies are successfully implemented to meet long-term business needs.
- Lead the development of annual and longer-term business plans, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy.
- Quantify business outcomes, such as revenues and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), alongside resource budgets for both financials and headcount.
- Ensure the integration of key activities or projects across the organization.
- Take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering both the organization's marketing strategy and sales strategy.
- Set and manage functional budgets so they align completely with the organizational strategy.
- Develop a personal network of senior managers within the business sector and at relevant advisory and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the organization at major business sector events to obtain market intelligence, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation.
- Set and communicate the strategy to achieve the organization's mission, vision, and values, inspiring a large and diverse workforce to commit to these business goals.
- Manage and report on functional performance, setting appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and holding them accountable. Take corrective action where necessary to ensure annual business objectives are met.
- Identify required capabilities to meet current and emerging business needs, evaluate current gaps, and prioritize development activities.
- Motivate others to fulfill their personal potential and build organizational capabilities through mentoring and informal methods.
- Ensure all supporting functions (including PID/RD, Services, Production, and QA/QC) elevate their performance to meet the standards and expectations of the oil and gas industry.
- Provide authoritative specialist advice to the leadership team to guide policy implementation, project design, and change initiatives.
- Identify and manage stakeholders up to the top management level by discovering their needs, issues, or concerns.
- Lead and coordinate stakeholder engagement plans to support the effective communication of business information and decisions.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA or other advanced graduate degree is highly preferred.
- Experience: Requires 15+ years of progressive marketing and sales leadership.
- Executive Experience: Must have at least 5-7 years at a senior executive level (VP or above) in global or multi-regional roles.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, P&L ownership, and cross-functional transformation initiatives. Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams across multiple geographies.
- Job-Specific Skills: Strategic mindset, business insight, financial acumen, effective communication, and the ability to drive results. Adept at planning and aligning, managing complexity, ensuring accountability, and balancing stakeholders.
