- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair power distribution systems, switchgear, MCCs (Motor Control Centers), transformers, generators, and electric motors.
- Ensure proper function and calibration of PLCs, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and SCADA systems.
- Monitor and maintain UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and battery backup systems.
- Conduct megger testing, insulation resistance testing, and circuit troubleshooting.
- Diagnose electrical faults, power failures, and short circuits.
- Perform voltage, current, and continuity testing using electrical diagnostic tools.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control wiring diagrams.
- Ensure ex-proof (explosion-proof) equipment and electrical installations meet hazardous area standards.
- Follow and enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations and electrical safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, ATEX, and API standards for electrical installations in hazardous zones.
- Implement and adhere to LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures to prevent electrical hazards.
- Participate in safety drills, risk assessments, and permit-to-work (PTW) procedures.
- Lead and mentor junior electricians and technicians in best practices and safety compliance.
- Conduct training sessions on electrical troubleshooting, power distribution, and hazardous area installations.
- Ensure team members adhere to industry standards and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with mechanical, instrumentation, and operations teams for maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed logs, reports, and documentation of electrical work.
- Assist in procurement by identifying required spare parts, electrical components, and tools.
