- Cost Accounting Oversight: Manage all cost accounting operations, including standard costing, variance analysis, and the allocation of prime and conversion costs at the SKU level.
- Production Finance: Monitor production batches and planning to ensure cost accuracy and capacity control. Analyze direct/indirect costs and report on variances.
- Conversion Cost Management: Ensure accurate cost booking, manage accruals, and optimize expenditures to achieve annual savings targets.
- Performance Monitoring: Track factory KPIs (e.g., OEE, waste, utilities) and collaborate with operations to drive targeted improvements.
- Forecasting & Planning: Develop accurate financial forecasts and standard cost models aligned with manufacturing objectives.
- Commodity & Supplier Performance: Report on key commodity metrics and optimize stock levels to achieve significant annual savings.
- Sourcing Strategy: Improve sourcing strategies for raw and packaging materials to enhance supplier performance and reduce costs.
- Contract Management: Review and negotiate co-packing and supplier contracts to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Supplier Governance: Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence to quality and contractual standards.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends to inform and refine procurement strategies.
- Expense Management: Oversee and control logistics and warehousing overheads to achieve annual cost reductions.
- Efficiency Optimization: Analyze capacity utilization and transportation efficiency to lower logistics costs while maintaining service levels.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, periodic counts, and reconciliation. Provide financial analysis to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Network Optimization: Lead financial aspects of warehouse network projects to drive down warehousing costs.
- KPI Management: Establish and track logistics KPIs (e.g., Cost per Metric Ton) to measure and improve efficiency.
- CAPEX Management: Prepare monthly CAPEX reports for Board and management; monitor spend against budget and cash flow requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Direct the end-to-end supply chain budgeting process. Prepare detailed annual budgets and forecasts for prime costs by SKU, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Strategic Projects: Build business cases and lead high-ROI supply chain and cost-saving projects, ensuring scalability and value delivery.
- Scenario Planning: Conduct financial evaluations for outsourcing and other strategic initiatives.
- ERP Leadership: Lead the financial implementation, integration, and validation of the SAP ERP system. Develop and maintain standard costing systems within the ERP.
- Process Improvement: Champion automation, digitization, and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, data accuracy, and reduce manual effort.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for site and supply chain operations. Ensure adherence to all financial policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and external regulations.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks across supply chain operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, FP&A, and supply chain finance, within the FMCG or manufacturing sectors (FMCG experience is essential).
- Proven expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, procurement finance, and logistics/warehousing finance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP implementation, integration, and financial module optimization is highly preferred.
- Expert knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial accounting standards, and variance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP required) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to lead under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English is required. Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage.
- Saudi nationals are preferred; exceptional expatriate candidates will be considered.
- Achievement of annual cost-saving targets across manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.
- Accuracy and integrity of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.
- Improvement in operational KPIs (OEE, Cost/MT, capacity utilization, waste).
- Timely and accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, and CAPEX reporting.
- Successful delivery and integration of ERP (SAP) modules and strategic projects with validated ROI.
- Full compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.
