He/she will have a proven track record of advising with the day –to-day coordination of works, supervising and certifying construction in accordance with contract conditions, preparing various project reports and coordinating the review and update of designs and cost estimates as required.Role :
  • The Construction Manager will be leading an experienced construction supervision team. He/she will have a proven track record of advising with the day –to-day coordination of works, supervising and certifying construction in accordance with contract conditions, preparing various project reports and coordinating the review and update of designs and cost estimates as required. Direct, manage and supervise construction management team.
  • Responsible for overall work progress, technical performance, quality and cost of thework package project assigned.
Responsible of approval of procurement, materials, method statements.
  • Ensure that the approved project’s plans (execution plan, quality plan, safety plan,etc.) are being adhered to and implemented by the contractors/ sub-contractors.
  • Ensures the efficiency and quality of the construction work to meet programobjectives and in budget.
Verify and approve the intern payments presented by the Contractor.
  • Coordinates with other functional managers to ensure correct implementation of the program governance, stakeholder management, coordination, specifications andstandards.
  • Implement project’s construction schedule and participate in preparing weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Manage client requirements advising on all technical engineering matters.
  • Provide professional and technical innovation, advice and support to theoperation team to assist with the safe and effective delivery of activities;
  • Perform value engineer during the works
Profile
  • Capable of operating as construction expert as well as team member to ensure the best available industry practices are implemented from concept to inception of the project at hand.
  • Demonstrable experience in the construction management of large civil construction projects of substantial size and above average complexity in urban environments
  • Successful track record in leading and managing multi-disciplined engineering teams and sub-contractors.
  • Ability to interface with key internal and external stakeholders at a senior level
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders at all levels in order to negotiate win-win situations
  • Proven experience working to tight deadlines within a changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment, assertiveness, and diplomatic skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing conflict in high-pressure situations.
  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in technical report writing as well as oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional level in using MS Office Suite is a must.
  • GCC experience.
