- System Maintenance and Optimization:
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, updates, and patches to ensure the stability and security of the infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and proactively optimize resources to meet the hospital's evolving needs.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support:
- Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues, collaborating with IT helpdesk and support teams to resolve problems promptly.
- Investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure a reliable healthcare IT environment.
- System Upgrades and Enhancements:
- Evaluate and recommend system upgrades and enhancements to keep technology systems aligned with evolving healthcare needs.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to implement upgrades and ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
- Integration and Interoperability:
- Work on integrating different technology systems to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
- Collaborate with vendors and other IT professionals to address interoperability challenges and optimize system integration.
- Advanced Technical Expertise:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for complex infrastructure issues, guiding the team in troubleshooting and resolving advanced technical challenges.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve the hospital's infrastructure.
- Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring the hospital receives optimal support and solutions for infrastructure-related products and services.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance the hospital's IT capabilities.
- Security and Compliance Leadership:
- Take a lead role in developing and implementing security policies and practices for the core infrastructure, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits, addressing any vulnerabilities promptly.
- Project Management:
- Lead infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, managing resources, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of infrastructure components with other hospital systems.
- Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of infrastructure performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Implement strategies for optimizing resource utilization and ensuring the infrastructure meets the hospital's evolving needs.
- Database Management and Maintenance:
- Collaborate with IT architects and developers to design and implement database structures that support healthcare applications and systems.
- Ensure proper data modeling and indexing for efficient data retrieval and storage.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing core IT infrastructure in a healthcare environment.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a team of IT professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of advanced server, network, database and storage technologies.
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
