Chiller Maintenance Technician

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on chiller systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot chiller system problems, identify the root cause, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning chiller components, such as motors, fans, pumps, and control systems, using specialized tools and techniques.
• Perform chiller start-up and shutdown procedures, as well as seasonal changeovers, to ensure optimal system performance.
• Monitor chiller system performance, energy usage, and refrigerant levels, and make adjustments to maintain efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of all chiller maintenance activities, including work orders, repair reports, and equipment history.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards related to chiller systems and refrigerants.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on the latest chiller technologies and industry best practices.

• Technical diploma or associate's degree in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field.
• +5 years of hands-on experience as a chiller technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of chiller system components, operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Skilled in using specialized chiller tools and equipment, such as refrigerant recovery and charging units, leak detectors, and diagnostic software.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
