This position requires a combination of creative talent, technical expertise, site experience & interior design experience.The Site Architect + Interior Designer is responsible for overseeing the architectural aspects of the development of the design and production of the construction documents and specifications on assigned projects. The role also involves interior design responsibilities, guiding the design team in creating and implementing innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs for various projects. The aim is to ensure that all design projects align with NEOM's vision and sustainable development goals. Your new role, what's involved?
  • Oversee the architectural design process by coordinating with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the design team to ensure effective and efficient project execution.
  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Review and approve designs and design changes.
  • Develop and present design proposals using detailed drawings and 3D models.
  • Ensure design proposals conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards.
  • Resolving design and development problems.
  • Manage project documentation and drafting tasks.
  • Lead the interior design scope, enhancing the functionality and quality of interior spaces.
  • Select appropriate materials, finishes, and furniture.
  • Work closely with various consultants, such as Landscape Architects, Lighting Designers, etc.
  • Attending site meetings to ensure the construction aligns with the design intent.
  • Review and approve material and furniture selections proposed by vendors.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest interior design trends and construction methods.
  • Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. However, applicants with an interior design qualification will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years experience on construction projects.
  • Professional licensure as an architect (preferred)
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building materials & construction methods.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills and support the team with architectural requirements.
  • Attention to detail and level of finishes.
  • Good knowledge of basic design requirements, familiar with architectural methodologies and finishes and Building Codes.
  • Experience in Buildings of all types in particular horizontal development, mixed use residential and commercial buildings, retail, and hospitality.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Visual awareness and an eye for detail.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Competent at writing reports – can present views clearly and concisely in good written English.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
  • Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
