Job PurposeThe Governance Specialist is responsible for establishing, managing, and monitoring internal policies, standards, and compliance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with labor laws and organizational objectives. The role serves as a subject matter expert, overseeing policy lifecycles, conducting audits, and advising stakeholders on regulatory requirements.Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Policy Management
  • Develop, review, and maintain internal policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure clear documentation and proper version control of policies.
  • Drive adherence to internal controls and governance frameworks.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Monitor changes in employment laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage regulatory inquiries and ensure timely responses.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance levels.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to data privacy and employee relations.
3. Process Improvement
  • Review and enhance processes for efficiency and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and standardization.
  • Map controls across the employee lifecycle to ensure governance coverage.
4. Stakeholder Advisory
  • Provide expert guidance to management and internal teams on governance matters.
  • Advise on labor regulations, compliance risks, and ethical standards.
  • Support decision-making through policy interpretation and risk assessment.
5. Authorization Matrices
  • Design, implement, and maintain Authorization Matrices (Delegation of Authority / Approval Workflows).
  • Ensure alignment with organizational structure and governance standards.
Job RequirementsEducational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Work Experience
  • 3–6+ years of experience in governance, policy management, or compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi Labor Law and local market practices.
