Join us.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our organization's HSE standards, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian and international standards
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and implementing preventive measures
  • Design and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for employees at all levels of the organization
  • Manage and maintain environmental management systems, including waste management and sustainability initiatives
  • Collaborate with management to establish and track key HSE performance indicators
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in HSE regulations and best practices, adapting company policies accordingly
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company during HSE inspections and audits
  • Prepare and present HSE reports to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and celebrating successes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in industrial or construction settings
  • Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian HSE regulations and international standards
  • Proficiency in HSE software and data management tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations
  • Excellent risk assessment and management capabilities
  • Proven experience in incident investigation and reporting
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels
  • Familiarity with environmental management systems and sustainability practices
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing priorities
