Maritime Shipping Specialist

• Oversee and manage sea shipping operations, including vessel coordination, cargo handling, and logistics planning.
• Secure and maintain necessary shipping licenses, permits, and certifications in compliance with international maritime regulations (e.g., IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL).
• Liaise with port authorities, regulatory bodies, and shipping agencies to ensure compliance with local and international laws.
• Coordinate with suppliers, shippers, and clients to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and operational standards in all shipping activities.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to shipping licenses, vessel inspections, and cargo manifests.
• Provide expertise in negotiating contracts with shipping vendors and service providers.
• Stay updated on maritime regulations, licensing requirements, and industry best practices.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sea ship shipping, maritime logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in obtaining and managing shipping licenses, permits, or certifications (e.g., Certificate of Compliance, Ship Registry, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards (e.g., IMO, ISM Code, ISPS Code).
• Strong understanding of vessel operations, cargo handling, and port procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience working with container ships, bulk carriers, tankers, etc.
• Familiarity with [specific regions or routes, if applicable, e.g., "Asia-Pacific shipping routes".
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
