- Support the Senior MEP Engineer in overseeing the maintenance of low current systems, including building management systems (BAS), SCADA systems, fire alarm systems, DDC panel controllers, variable frequency drives (VFD) for motor controls and other low current devices/sensors, ensuring compliance with established KPIs and industry standards.
- Ensure proper execution and monitor preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance activities for low current systems in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, technical guidelines, and approved maintenance plans.
- Supervise and guide service provider teams to ensure high quality, safe, and timely delivery of maintenance activities, with full adherence to relevant codes, safety standards, and site-specific procedures.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of low current maintenance programs, including reviewing maintenance checklists and task frequency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of low current systems to verify their operational status, integration, and compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards
- Evaluate the competency and performance of service provider staff engaged in low current system maintenance; identify skill gaps and recommend relevant training or upskilling actions to the Senior MEP Engineer.
- Monitor spare parts usage, component availability, and support inventory forecasting and planning for critical devices and modules (e.g., sensors, control panels, interfaces, detectors).
- Participate in asset condition assessments for low current systems and support the Senior MEP Engineer in developing upgrade and replacement strategies aligned with lifecycle planning and technological advancement.
- Assist in the preparation and review of technical documentation, including system reports, testing logs, work completion certificates, commissioning checklists, and interface diagrams.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for faults or failures in low current systems, ensuring quick and effective resolution to restore system functionality.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover processes of new low current installations; raise and track the resolution of EIL items.
- Promote and enforce safety and data integrity practices related to all low current systems; support internal and external HSE and technical audits with relevant documentation and actions.
- Contribute to the implementation of maintenance strategies, integration standards, and technology updates that enhance systems resilience and efficiency.
- Provide technical input during design reviews, scope development, and project planning phases for initiatives involving low current systems under the Senior MEP Engineer’s oversight.
- Support the identification and decommissioning or secure disposal of outdated, redundant, or non-operational low current system components.
- Monitor and maintain software backups and restore latest backups when needed.
- Support other discipline maintenance teams to solve communications issues related BMS and SCADA linked equipment/devices to ensure systems functionality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior MEP Engineer, including liaising with contractors, internal departments, IT security teams, and system vendors when required.
- Must have BS degree in Electrical or Electronic Automation Engineering or related discipline.
- Fair knowledge in Building Management Systems, SCADA systems.
- Excellent technical competency in the field of building management systems (BAS), SCADA systems, fire alarm systems, DDC panel controllers, variable frequency drives (VFD) for motor controls and other low current devices/sensors.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in low current systems engineering.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, and data networks.
- Experience with industry standards and regulations related to low current installations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant software tools for design and documentation.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
