- Analyze data collected from site investigations and provide recommendations for foundation design, ground improvement, and soil stabilization.
- Lead and manage geotechnical site investigations, including soil testing, sampling, and field investigations, to assess ground conditions for airport projects.
- Develop geotechnical engineering designs and solutions for airport infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, terminals, and other critical facilities.
- Perform geotechnical analysis for foundation design, slope stability, and settlement assessments, ensuring compliance with local codes, regulations, and standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate geotechnical solutions into overall airport designs and construction plans.
- Participate in project meetings to provide technical expertise and ensure geotechnical aspects are well integrated into the project schedule and budget.
- Identify potential geotechnical risks and develop strategies to mitigate risks, such as ground settlement, erosion, or water infiltration, ensuring safety during construction and long-term use
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during site investigations and construction.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including analysis, recommendations, and design calculations, for presentation to project stakeholders and regulatory authorities
- Maintain accurate records of all geotechnical data, reports, and designs.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior geotechnical engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support in technical matters.
- Oversee project delivery and ensure the quality and accuracy of geotechnical work.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with significant experience in airport infrastructure or large-scale civil engineering projects.
- Experience with soil mechanics, foundation design, and geotechnical analysis specific to airport construction is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, techniques, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software tools and analysis programs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple geotechnical projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment.
