Job Summary:The Hostess is responsible for greeting guests as they arrive, managing reservations and waitlists, and guiding guests to their tables. A hostess ensures a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining an organized flow of guests in the dining area.Key Responsibilities:Greet guests warmly and professionally as they enter the venue.Manage reservations and waitlists using a reservation system or manual log.Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with takeout or reservations.Communicate wait times accurately and manage seating flow efficiently.Ensure the front desk and entrance area are clean and well-presented at all times.Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth operations.Handle guest complaints or direct them to the appropriate manager.Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous customer service or hostess experience is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Professional appearance and positive attitude.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
