- Responsible for coordination and oversight of field construction operations within assigned projects.
- Determines contractor's workforce requirements. Coordinates established area operational plans.
- Monitors work activities and ensures the quality of work performed.
- Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
- Reviews daily reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, contractor personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
- Ensures the activities of the assigned contracts are in compliance with specifications and schedules.
- Responsible for the implementation of client/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned projects.
- Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas and clients' resident representatives, as instructed by the Resident Engineer.
- Ensures that client, Bechtel and local/national safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility. Ensures the Zero Accident Philosophy is
- incorporated into every aspect of construction operations. Actively participates in scheduled safety meetings.
- Implements Six Sigma tools, analysis, and decision making in the execution of duties.
- Interact with all RC Department to coordinate all related to Permits and inspections
- Closing contracts (Commercial/Technical) handover to custodian Department
- University Degree in Electrical discipline with minimum 8 years of relevant construction experience.
- Knowledge of contract documents, and the contractor's responsibilities.
- Experience providing daily safety and quality inspections of Contractors' physical works related different electrical power project as transmission lines and high voltage substations.
- Experience working with construction contractors, administering and verifying compliance with contract documents, specifications, materials, equipment and scope of work. Experience in High
- Voltage, Medium Voltage, Substations, instrumentation and low voltage systems.
- Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, including solid knowledge of risk and hazardous conditions.
- Knowledge of Bechtel and client work procedures.
- Experience reviewing Contractors' submittals, work method statements, safety plans, quality plans and traffic control plans for compliance with contract documents.
- Experience reviewing and processing the contractor's monthly pay invoices.
- Experience reviewing and monitoring the Contractors' project schedules.
- Experience writing correspondences to contractors.
- Experience in providing supporting information and documentation related to submitted claims.
- Closing contracts (Commercial/Technical) handover to end-user
- Control documents (Contractual) Technical reports
- Proactive in coordinating and communicating with the contractor on different types of common contractual issues, lesson learned and 3rd party service provider.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Provides clear and timely communication and information to assigned Resident Engineer(s) on senior management as requested.
- Serve as a resource for training/mentoring colleagues with less experience.
- Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differencesSelf-motivated individual with good leadership skills and experience and the ability to influence without authority.
- Ability to work within an integrated RC/Bechtel/Contractors team at multiple levels in order to achieve safety standards and high-quality work.
