- Develop detailed specifications for engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Review and analyze project specifications to identify potential risks, conflicts, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment between specifications and project objectives.
- Conduct thorough reviews of technical documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the specification development process.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices related to specification development and implementation.
- Participate in meetings with clients to discuss specifications, address concerns, and provide updates on project status.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including vendors and subcontractors, to incorporate their input into project specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, bids, and tender documents as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in creating and reviewing specifications within an engineering consultancy firm or similar environment.
- Professional licensure or certification in Architecture or Engineering is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to specification development.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant technical tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality work within established timelines and budget constraints.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
