Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings and 3D utility models for dry utility networks (electrical, telecom, fiber optics, gas, etc.).
  • Develop and manage utility layouts, plan and profile drawings, trench sections, and composite utility corridors using Civil 3D.
  • Perform and document clash detection and coordination using Navisworks Manage, ensuring alignment with other utility and civil disciplines.
  • Collaborate with engineers, BIM coordinators, and consultants to resolve conflicts and deliver coordinated models.
  • Work across multiple LODs (e.g., LOD 200 to LOD 450) depending on the project stage (concept, design, IFC, as-built).
  • Participate in design review meetings and model coordination sessions.
  • Interpret and integrate topographic surveys, base maps, and utility data into models.
  • Follow project CAD/BIM standards, maintain version control, and ensure drawing/model accuracy.
  • Generate as-built models and documentation for submission and handover stages.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working on infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, land development).
  • Proven experience in shop drawing production and construction-ready documentation.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.
  • Sound knowledge of utility design standards, trenching methods, and installation practices.
  • Experience in delivering and managing models at various Levels of Development (LOD 200 to 500).
  • Proficiency in clash detection, issue tracking, and model coordination workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and organizational skills.
