- Agree on portfolio's commercial KPIs for the year with VP/President and cascade to the team; continuously monitor progress toward strategic objectives.
- Develop long-term vision for the category and a brand acquisition strategy.
- Identify gaps in the portfolio to match customer aspirations and scout new brands.
- Manage portfolio of brands (scale fast successful brands or terminate quickly failed ones).
- Review bi-annual list of underperforming retailers (distribution-specific) to ensure remedial plan is implemented.
- Ensure all OPEX and CAPEX commitments remain within monthly budget allotments.
- Deliver business KPIs as agreed with VP (budget, P&L, People Metrics).
- Drive setup of distribution channels within electronics, hardware, and beauty categories.
- Maintain CXO-level relationships within key channel categories and drive strategic growth.
- Identify strategic channels including independent retail and operators.
- Manage contractual relationships, negotiations, and gross margin management with resellers.
- Develop promotional campaigns and maintain a 6-month calendar of channel-wise promotions.
- Align with marketing and communications to coordinate launch events and retail marketing plans (6- and 12-month cycles).
- Work closely with the brand to ensure ROI on channel marketing initiatives and be accountable for a MDF % regarding channel development.
- Ensure that IRR by store conforms to the Group's guidelines.
- Manage a team of key account managers and field sales officers to drive growth in distribution channels.
- Mentor and coach the team and lead them to achieve the brand vision and business plan milestones.
- Assign operational responsibility to team while keeping accountability for deliverables.
- Identify gaps in competencies and manpower within the team; work with People Partner and Digital Business Manager to address them.
- Participate in the Group's succession planning by identifying high-potential talent, especially potential captains.
- Set People KPIs (e.g., nationalization, turnover rates) and cascade to line managers.
- Work closely with key functions-Logistics, Supply Chain, and Finance-to ensure efficient channel management.
- Partner with Group leadership on transformation and automation projects to improve cost and time efficiency.
- Work with Talent Acquisition and People teams for the recruitment of channel sales teams and in-store promoters.
- Align operationally with Brand(s) for implementation of contractual agreements.
- Set yearly fiscal and manpower budgets and use available dashboards to monitor budget realization.
- Ensure that monthly and annual financial statements prepared by the finance team reflect the business's true financial position.
- Create a strong digital revenue channel for the brand(s) including eCommerce, apps, and in-store digital experiences.
- Develop an evolving hybrid customer journey to build, grow, and sustain a community of loyal customers.
- Manage investments in store networks (openings, renovations, closures) and digital platforms.
- Be responsible for monthly revenue targets and complete management of sell-in and sell-out.
- Measure and evaluate sales team performance and drive for success.
- Measure and evaluate support processes and drive continuous process improvement to help partners succeed.
- Identify key points in the sales process that can be enhanced through technology and lead improvements to systems and tools.
- React with agility to underperforming or successful initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience in sales/product/category management with a leading consumer electronics brand or distributor in KSA.
- Strong background in retail/merchandising is strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship-building skills, especially with CXO-level stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Arabic language speakers only.
