Job Summary:The Commis Chef is an entry-level position in the kitchen brigade. They assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes under the guidance of more experienced chefs. The role is essential for maintaining kitchen efficiency, hygiene standards, and ensuring consistent food quality.Key Responsibilities:Assist with the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and standards.Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.Ensure all food is stored and handled properly to maintain quality and safety.Follow instructions from senior chefs and work as part of the team.Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients accurately.Assist in receiving and checking deliveries.Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health standards.Learn and improve skills continuously through daily tasks and mentoring.Requirements:Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.Strong willingness to learn and take direction.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.Culinary education or relevant training is a plus but not required.
