- Lead and manage the quantity surveying function for multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project requirements and budgets.
- Provide expert guidance and support to project teams on all quantity surveying matters, including cost estimation, cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis, tender evaluations, and value engineering exercises to optimize project costs and ensure value for money.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive quantity surveying strategies and solutions tailored to project objectives.
- Review and negotiate contracts, variations, and claims, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and contractual obligations.
- Oversee the preparation of bills of quantities, cost reports, and financial forecasts, providing accurate and timely updates to project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying risks, deviations, and opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Mentor and train junior quantity surveyors, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
- Represent the company in client meetings, workshops, and presentations, demonstrating technical expertise and fostering positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects in the construction industry.
- Extensive experience in road, bridge, highway, tunnel, rail, metro, and related infrastructure projects, ideally within a consulting environment.
- Strong proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, such as CostX, Candy, or similar platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards, particularly in the Saudi Arabian context.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to mentor and develop junior staff members.
- Professional accreditation or membership with relevant industry bodies (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required, Arabic language skills would be advantageous.
