- Evaluate equipment failure modes and utilize engineering experience and training to develop solutions for eliminating/mitigating potential failure
- Advise and confer with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and recommendations
- Review engineering specifications/drawings and propose design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements
- Monitor equipment performance and evaluate equipment history and failure trends to determine sources of poor component performance
- Partner with other manufacturing locations to develop Reliability Best Practices and to collaboratively work through common issues.
- Develop/Update Assets Obsolescence Management Program, for all types of Equipment (Electrical, Mechanical, Rotating, Instrumentation and process automation)
- Develop/Update Asset Criticality Assessment with clear understanding of the ranking criteria.
- Familiar with Reliability Centered Maintenance RCM and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Enhance Assets Maintenance Strategies for all types of equipment.
- Identify/Develop and monitor asset performance KPI’s.
- Develop and monitor Equipment switchover program.
- Be the focal point for the Bad Actor program and verify the implementation of action plan till the graduation.
- Identify new technologies and techniques to assist the organization culture change and move towards the condition based and proactive maintenance strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, specifically focused on rotating equipment.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment design, operation, and maintenance.
- Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and international codes, standards and specifications.
- Experience with predictive maintenance tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with the basic investigation tools and techniques like FRACAS, RCA, and TAPROOT is an added value.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
