We are urgently looking for A QC Inspector - Structural in the oil and gas industry is responsible for ensuring that all structural components and installations meet the required quality standards and specifications:Key Responsibilities:
Inspection of Structural Elements:
Conducting visual and dimensional inspections of structural steel, foundations, supports, and fabricated assemblies to verify adherence to drawings and specifications. This includes checking alignment, orientation, elevation, and installation tolerances.
Material Verification:
Inspecting incoming materials (e.g., structural steel, bolts, welding consumables) to ensure they meet the required quality and standards.
Welding Inspection:
Inspecting welds for defects, ensuring proper welding procedures are followed, and verifying compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Compliance with Standards:
Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, relevant codes (e.g., API, AWS), and company quality procedures.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformities. Preparing reports and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
Non-Conformance Management:
Identifying and documenting non-conformities, participating in root cause analysis, and ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
Safety Compliance:
Ensuring all work is performed in a safe manner, adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
Coordination:
Collaborating with other inspectors, supervisors, and client representatives to ensure smooth inspection processes.
Continuous Improvement:
