- Senior Sales Manager is responsible for targeting, qualifying and contracting predominately local and global corporate accounts not yet utilizing the property.
- Maintains a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone, fax, written communication.
- Maintain close business relationships with existing clients through key sales activities.
- Closely follows up on all business leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients.
- Adapts to client's needs by tailor fitting hotel services to fit client's requests.
- Analyze the corporate segment performance based on segmentation objectives & strategies.
- Conduct competitor surveys and recommend strategies based on market intelligence.
- Reviews corporate account and recommends actions in terms of rates, production, contract renewals.
- Analyze other factors that affect production i.e internal, external factors and recommends actions required.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to maximize hotel profit in all revenue producing areas.
- Demonstrates commitment to Hotel operating principles and philosophies.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains rate integrity of the hotel and maximizes revenue opportunities.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
- Works directly with clients to plan event details, develop solutions and provide guidance and direction as the main meeting contact and hotel representative for assigned events.
- Have exceptional role for an entrepreneurial process led individual, focused on achieving results, personal development and working collaboratively within a dynamic sales and events team.
- To promote the image and services of the company so that maximum growth occurs through gaining new clients and contracts
- Accountable for generating and prospecting new business from local market to grow corporate share whilst managing current accounts with long term plan to grow existing portfolio
- Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, account management, face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation (under the DOSM' direction), site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and national/international sales trips
- Previous hotel experience required
